Labour campaigning on plan for 20,000 nurses and 8,000 GPs

Labour members took to the streets of Maldon to campaign on Saturday.

Peter Edwards, Labour’s PPC for Maldon, joined activists from across the district to highlight:

  • The coalition’s NHS cuts including the axing of 7,000 frontline staff

  • The fact that working people are now an average of £1,600 a year worse off under the Tories and Lib Dems.

  • Labour’s plan to expand free childcare for three and four year olds paid for by an increase in the bank levy.

Maldon Labour plans to hold several more events over the next few months to highlight David Cameron’s failure to protect the NHS and stand up for people struggling with the cost of living crisis.
