Inquiring about work experience/work shadowing. I am 17 and a member of Labour youth and would love to get some work experience under my belt to support my CV in the future for my position within the party. Thank you!

Where do you stand on Brexit? I can’t see anything on this site relating to the most important issue of our generation. Where do you stand on Corbyn? And how would you address the issue of a Syrian family coming to Maldon?

Please could you let me know of any meetings that may be going on in the area, I live in Southminster and would like to attend to ask some questions. I am happy to travel to any meetings, as long as they are not too far away. The reason I ask is because I intended to vote Conservative in the general election on May 8th, however on listening this morning to the SKY news about the Labour manifesto has made me sit up and and want to re-evaluate my positon. Look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. My landline is 01621-331441

Extreme disappointment.

I joined the Labour Party recently and voted for Jeremy Corbyn as Leader. The reason being that I do sincerely believe that he does want a new type of politics, which actually involves compassion, empathy and democracy rather than the greed, psychopathy and bigotry! It is therefore with extreme disappointment that I note that the Trident issue will not even be debated at Conference and the old argument that CND belongs in the 1980’s has won the day. Believing in a peaceful and non nuclear world is absolutely nothing whatever to do with the 1980’s or any other decade, it is merely that the Psychopaths who cling to power love to have total control in all aspects of everything! In fact, seeking a peaceful world is in fact a forward not a backward looking idea. But of course, the psychosis existing within most of the British public and their inability to detect psychopathy and patriarchy in even its most evident of forms continues to lead them like lambs to the slaughter and, I fear that the rest of the Labour Party Conference will be no better, with New Labour imposing themselves and their views on it because somebody once told them this is their only route to power, thus making a mockery of the voices of 251000 people in much the same way that Tony Blair mocked the voices of 2 million odd people who turned out on the streets of London in 2003 prior to the 2nd Iraq War as Psychopaths love to do!

Jeremy Corbyn has shown us a glimpse of humanity, but the other parts of the power hungry Labour Party cannot abide this and rather than clinging to their principal values of peace, fairness, compassion and defending the rights of ordinary people will quite simply return to the hegemony of the last few decades and the in fighting will continue until Jeremy Corbyn is ousted.

I want to see politicians behaving like Jeremy Corbyn, with empathy and compassion for all people, not just looking to their own positions of power and influence as most of these MP’s now seem to be doing.

I will give it a year and see what happens, but whereas I was thinking about becoming politically involved again, it is most unlikely that will happen and if the back stabbing, psychopathy, immaturity and jealousy do not cease I will not be renewing my membership.

MP’s are elected by the people and the majority of people are Empaths – sometimes they should remember that rather than merely trying to protect their own power bases.

I contacted you yesterday pointing out your national web site had the wrong T&Ms (terms and conditions) included with your membership forms, but I have had NO reply!

I checked your national site today and they have changed the T&Ms, but I still feel you have got them wrong. The T&Ms now related to donations NOT membership!

Why has your Maldon CLP first web page showing a big picture your OLD leader! and not Corbyn?

I am not at all impressed by your party’s organisation…..

I was going to join as I like Corbyn, but am very disappointed that he is now going to support the EU membership rather than fight for employees rights….. same old conservative New Labour!

I wanted to join the party today, but when I went to the Party on-line web site and started filling in the form I found you were asked to confirm you had read and agreed the terms and conditions. Unfortunately, for all classes of membership (inc. https://join.labour.org.uk/standard/2) the terms and conditions link took you to a page for the disabled.

Perhaps you have been hacked or a fool has designed the web site!

Resignation notification. Corbyn’s policies are too left-field for me!

Peter Edwards,

I’m very disappointed that Labour is appeasing the inherently right wing population of the Dengie with its immigration policy. Race hate is very common in this area and I’m not impressed that you are playing on people’s unfounded fears and prejudices.

I won’t be voting Labour in the local elections. Shame on you!

Lovely picture of Peter Edwards, where in Essex was it taken.

I received your election leaflet today and I was considering voting labour but won’t now. I was so disappointed to see the take on immigration. I work in the NHS and we rely on so many immigrants, it’s a necessary thing and a good thing. For example the Philippines have an amazing attitude to a Occupational Therapy and amazing training. I work in a secure hospital for mentally ill offenders are you really saying that if someone is attacked in a hospital by a patient they shouldn’t get benefits if they become disabled or that someone gets pregnant and their partner doesn’t want to know we shouldn’t give her benefits. Why on earth can’t you blame the people who got us in the mess , the bankers, the IMF etc. I hate the Tories to be honest I hate pandering to the Tories and UKIP more , the labour tradition was about solidarity, not scapegoating.

i blame many of our current ill’s on Blair, humiliation of the British Army in Afghanistan and immigration, I am tempted by u.k.i.p, I’m still un sure how you intend to renegotiate the freedom of movement situation, this nation is full and surely cannot continue the open door madness, I am also concerned about violence, parts of this country are no go areas at night, I visited Edmonton recently, used to be a good place, not anymore, this applies to so much of our country, also the armed forces what’s ED’S policy on defence? Having said all of that I believe that ED is a new beginning, young , brave, a man of honour who I will vote for not the labour party in general, I think he will become the finest leader since Baroness Thatcher!!!!, please send a large picture of the man so that I can display the same with pride , please send the fine man my respects and loyalty, regards terry

If Labour win the election what is their policy on English votes for English laws and how can we stop the SNP from ruling our Country.
